About Patricia Rose Charters
Patricia Rose Charters is a fully licensed fishing charter boat operating from Plymouth, Devon, offering professional sea fishing trips and bespoke marine charters across the South West. The vessel is licensed to carry up to 12 passengers and is MCA coded to 60 nautical miles (Category 2), allowing safe access to both inshore and offshore fishing grounds.
We operate a wide range of fishing charter durations, including 4, 5, 9, 10 and 12-hour trips, as well as multi-day fishing charters, making Patricia Rose Charters ideal for beginners, experienced anglers, clubs, groups and specialist charter work.
Our fishing trips cater for everyone from complete novices to match-standard anglers, with additional capabilities for diving support, filming, survey work, tourism and specialist marine operations.
Boat Specification & Onboard Facilities
The Patricia Rose is an Aquastar 38 Sports Fisherman, a highly regarded and capable offshore charter vessel. Powered by twin 280hp diesel engines, she cruises comfortably at up to 26 knots, allowing quick and safe travel to productive fishing marks around Plymouth Sound and further offshore.
Onboard facilities include:

The Patricia Rose is fast, stable and exceptionally well suited to offshore banks, reef fishing, wreck fishing and deep-water marks, including historic World War I and World War II wrecks.
We also offer ashes committal at sea, carried out respectfully, discreetly and professionally.

Meet Andy Bridson
Andy has over 40 years’ experience taking people fishing and is a commercially endorsed MCA Master and a member of the Professional Boatman’s Association.
He previously fished to match standard for the UK Armed Forces and has extensive experience fishing both in the UK and worldwide, landing a wide range of memorable specimens. Andy’s background as a maritime specialist and instructor ensures every trip is run safely, professionally and with a strong focus on enjoyment.
Following a long military career, the Patricia Rose is Andy’s first full-size charter boat, allowing him to focus full-time on delivering high-quality fishing charters from Plymouth, Devon.
In addition to standard inshore and offshore fishing, trips include wreck and reef fishing, as well as shark and Bluefin tuna tagging trips, subject to season, licensing and conditions.
Every charter is carefully planned around weather, time of year and customer goals, ensuring the best possible experience for you and your crew. Individual anglers are also welcome.
